It wouldnt be until almost 100 years later until genus Sahydroaraneus would be established where this spider currently resides as the type species. Reaching 2 3 inches as adults, this uncommon species is known from the Chimmini Wildlife Sancturay area in Thrissur district, Western Ghats of India.
