In late summer 2009 I took part in a Team in Training event which included a final hike in Rocky Mountain National Park

Using a small aperture

I headed out in the City Park area with my camera to capture some of these scenes

With the sounds of elk in the distance we waiting for the sun to rise. However when it did rise this is not what we were expecting. The fog diffused the sun and the rays turned orange. Turning the camera a little I was able to position myself with a tree between myself and the sun for this image as the sunlight filled the
