Contemporary full brown calf leather, spine in newer calf with black morocco title label lettered in gilt, spine decorated with gilt panel lines, 8vo. This set documents the second voyage of the intrepid French traveler, Le Vaillant, from Cape Town up the western coast reaching and crossing the Orange River into Namibia. This feat, long disputed, was later proven to be true. A
